Single Stop is here to provide assistance to JSCC students who may encounter financial difficulties that could prevent them from accomplishing their academic goals. Single Stop offers an online screening to determine if students and their families are eligible for certain benefits. Beyond the screener, we sponsor several programs on campus as well as partner with as many community agencies and resources that we can find in order to refer students to these agencies based on their needs. Our on-campus programs include The Spartan's Table (food distribution and education), Campus Coat Closet, Partnership with Duplin County Transportation, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program) and once a semester Community Resources Fair. Off-campus partnerships can assist students with services such as childcare assistance, crisis assistance (such as rent and light bill), mental health services, assistance in obtaining affordable healthcare, etc.
