James Sprunt Single Stop partnered with Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries in the fall of 2016 to bring a food and nutrition program to James Sprunt Community College. This partnership has given the Spartan’s Table access to food donated from Food Lion twice a month as well as monthly shopping trips to The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. This food is then distributed to the students, faculty and staff at JSCC twice a month in afternoon and evening distributions.
SCHEDULED DISTRIBUTIONS FOR AUGUST
Spartan's Table will have food distributions this month Tuesday, August 21 and August 28, 1:30-2:30 and 5:30-6:30, in the Strickland Commons area. Students may attend either the 1:30 or 5:30 distributions. Spartan's Table is open to all current JSCC students and staff (JSCC ID required). Staff may attend the last 15 minutes of a distribution.
