You have access to modify your preferences in Moodle. This section allows you to update your profile with a photo, additional information about yourself, how you would like to receive messages when on/off line, forum subscriptions, which text editor you would like to use, etc. When your account was created you were assigned the "default text editor" to allow you access to the full set of tools in Moodle text boxes. Please make sure not to modify this setting or you will hide important tools you may need throughout your courses.
